Maor Alteras

Director and screenwriter based in Tel Aviv. I found filmmaking at 16, entered a competition with my father's home camera, and never really left. Since then I've been developing a personal visual language built on one belief — every project lives or dies by its storytelling.

I came up as a DOP, which gives me an edge as a director: I think in light, composition, and rhythm before I think in words. That background lets me lead productions with precision while keeping the visual standard where it needs to be.

Over the years I've directed TV and social campaigns, branded content, music videos, and independent films — including work for Kan 11 and the documentary Dear Mom, which screened at DocAviv. Today I work increasingly with AI as a creative tool. Not to replace the camera — to expand what the story can be.
